Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to readable, mobile-friendly court-record guidance with accessible structure, plain language and useful visual support.

Human-reviewedWritten and audited by an editorial team.
Official-source firstCourts, clerks, judiciary portals and PACER where relevant.
Manual checksLinks, addresses, numbers, maps and screenshots reviewed.
Information onlyPractical guide, not legal advice or official record service.

Accessibility goal

Public court-record searches are often stressful. A user may be on a phone outside a courthouse, trying to find a ticket, looking for a hearing date, helping a family member, or trying to understand a confusing official portal. We design our pages to be readable, scannable and mobile-fit.

What we build for

Readable sections

Short paragraphs, strong headings, plain English and clear action notes.

Mobile-fit tables

Responsive tables show labels on small screens and avoid wasted side space.

Accessible screenshots

Visual guidance should be accompanied by text so users are not forced to rely only on images.

Clear warnings

Legal, privacy, FCRA and official-source reminders are placed in visible boxes.

Keyboard and theme support

Pages use semantic HTML-style sections and simple components that work better with WordPress themes.

Feedback loop

Accessibility issues can trigger editorial or design updates.

Report accessibility issues

If a page is hard to read, a table does not fit, a screenshot is unclear, colour contrast is poor, link text is confusing or a screen reader has trouble, contact the editorial team with the page URL, device/browser and issue description.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. As we add more court guides, screenshots, maps and official-source boxes, we will continue improving readability, mobile behaviour and page structure.

Site-wide trust note

publiccourtrecords.org/ is built for educational and informational use. Our guides are written to help users understand court-record systems, official portals, clerk routes, case-number searches, courthouse contact paths, screenshots and public-record limits. We are not a court, clerk, attorney, government agency, consumer reporting agency, background-check company or official record issuer.

When a guide contains links, phone numbers, addresses, maps, screenshots or resource notes, our content process is to manually review those details before publication or update. Court systems still control final access, fees, restrictions, filings, sealed records, certified copies and official case status.
