Who we are
publiccourtrecords.org/ is an independent educational and informational website focused on helping people navigate public court record systems in the United States. Court records can be spread across county clerks, municipal courts, circuit courts, district courts, superior courts, probate courts, family courts, traffic courts, state judiciary portals and federal systems. A user may not know where to begin, which court handled the matter, which portal is official, or whether a record is available online at all.
Our job is to make that process easier to understand. We organise source-based information into clear pages that explain where records may be found, what a user should verify, how official portals usually work, what screenshots mean, and when a user should contact a clerk or attorney rather than relying on a general guide.
Why this site exists
